ستصبح حرًا عندما تكتشف أن القفص مصنوع من الأفكار، وأن الفانوس بداخله نور، وأن السجن داخله قصص. ستصبح حرًا عندما
تتيقن أن مجريات الحياة المكتوبة لك هي لك ولن تجري لغيرك. ستصبح حرًا عندما تتيقن بأن العدالة من السماء إلى الأرض ومن
الأرض إلى السماء، وليست من بين أيدي البشر. إنها بمقدورنا رفعها إلى العدالة السماوية، ولكن مجريات الدنيا لو تركت بيد العبد لكان
تم ظلم العديد من البشر وانتهاك حقوق الإنسانية والعدالة المستحقة. عندما تتيقن بأن أمور حياتك تخصك وتعنيك لوحدك وليست بيد من
غيرك، فقراراتك، وتصرفاتك، وأسلوب حياتك، وأهدافك، وطموحاتك، كلها بيدك وتعني حريتك من أي قيود قد تسلبك حياتك لتصبح بين
الحياة والأحياء لغيرك وبقرارات غيرك وليس قراراتك. أن تعيش لنفسك بحياة تريدها وليست حياة يختارها غيرك لك، أن تكون ملكًا
لنفسك وذاتك بكل ما تريد أن تصبح عليه وبما أنت عليه وبما تريده أنت، أن تكون حرًا بتعبيراتك، باختياراتك، بحياتك
قال الشاعر والأديب السوري / محمد الماغوط/ (لا شاعر عظيم في بلادنا) قيل له لماذا؟ أجاب: “كي تكون شاعرًا عظيمًا يجب أن تكون
صادقًا ولكي تكون صادقًا يجب أن تكون حرًا ولكي تكون حرًا يجب أن تعيش ولكي تعيش يجب أن تخرس..” أنا مع ما قاله الشاعر لكن
بدون أن تخرس، أن تعيش ما أنت حر لتقوله ولأجله، أي نعم يقصد الشاعر أنه ليس كل ما يكمن في عقولنا وقلوبنا من حقيقة نستطيع
البوح بها أمام الجميع بحكم سياسات وقيود، من الممكن أن يكون الصمت حينها أفضل ومن الممكن أن يكون أسوأ، فإذا كان أسوأ فالنقل
وليحصل ما يحصل، نحن نعيش مرة واحدة في هذه الحياة وسنحاسب على أقوالنا وأفعالنا ولكن إن كان أفضل أن نصمت، فلنصمت ولنعرف الحقيقة بين أنفسنا ولمن يسمعها داخلنا
من لا يستطيع أن يسمع نفسه، سيخضع لطاعة غيره وسيسير بمجرى ليس له بل لمن حوله. الحرية ليست بأن نفعل فقط ما نريد بل أيضًا
أن لا نفعل ما لا نريد. أحيانًا تعني الحرية أن تكون في قفص مع من تحب، وأحيانًا أخرى أن تكون في قفص مع نفسك، وبأحيان أخرى
أن تكون في قفص مع من حولك، وأحيانًا مع العائلة وأخرى مع الأصدقاء وأخرى مع الزملاء وتارة مع العظماء. الحقيقة هي الحرية
وليس الإبهار فالأفعال وبل الأقوال التي تثرثر دون فائدة أو بدون أي مشاهد لكامل الحلقة، حقيقة الحرية بما يبهر بصدق وليس بما يبهر بزور
أن تكون حرًا يعني أن تفكر، متى ما كانت لك فكرة تدور في دماغك، كل يوم، وكل ساعة وكل لحظة، إذن أنت حر. فليست الحرية يا
عزيزي في صوتك المرتفع ولباسك الملون، ليست في سرعة سيارتك، ليست في القيود التي تفرضها على من حولك في تصرفاتك، إنها
أفكار تصنع أمة وتربي أجيال. كن حرًا بنفسك وليس حرًا بمن حولك، ابن قفص حريتك بيديك وليس بيدي من حولك. إنها حياتك وليست
حياة من حولك، أرسمها بحب، بسعي، بعمل، بجهد، بتفاني، بيقين، بإتقان، وبإبداع، وليس بتدهور، وبتحطيم، وبتدمير، وبعدم تفكير
فتكون سجن نفسك بحرية خاطئة أذلتك بسجن حقيقي من أحلامك وأهدافك، وليس بسجن حريتك وأفكارك، أختر سجنك بأفكارك فيكون بسجن لحريتك أو يكون سجنًا يقيد حريتك
You will become free when you discover that the cage is made of ideas, and that
the lantern inside it is light, and that the prison inside it is stories. You will become
free when you realize that the course of life written for you is yours alone and will
not run for others. You will become free when you understand that justice is from
heaven to earth and from earth to heaven, and not in the hands of humans. It is
within our power to elevate it to divine justice, but if the affairs of the world were
left to the slave, many humans would be unjustly treated, and human rights and
deserved justice would be violated. When you realize that the matters of your life
concern and mean only you, and are not in the hands of others, your decisions,
actions, lifestyle, goals, and aspirations are all in your hands and signify your
freedom from any constraints that could deprive you of your life to be lived for
yourself, not a life chosen by others for you. To be the master of yourself and your own being with everything you want to become and what you are, to be free in your expressions, choices, and life.
The Syrian poet and writer, Mohammad al-Maghout, said: “There is no great poet in
our country.” When asked why, he replied: “To be a great poet, you must be
sincere, and to be sincere, you must be free, and to be free, you must live, and to
live, you must be silent.” Despite what the poet said, without being silent, to live
what you are free to say and for its sake, yes, the poet means that not everything
that lies in our minds and hearts of truth can be expressed to everyone due to
policies and constraints. Silence may be better at times and worse at others, so if
it’s worse, let it be said and let whatever happens, happen. We live only once in this
life and we will be held accountable for our words and deeds, but if it’s better to
remain silent, then let’s remain silent and know the truth between ourselves and those who hear it within us.
He who cannot hear himself will submit to the obedience of others and will follow a
path not of his own but of those around him. Freedom is not just about doing what
we want, but also about not doing what we don’t want. Sometimes freedom means
being in a cage with those you love, and other times being in a cage with yourself,
and sometimes being in a cage with those around you, with family, friends,
colleagues, and even with the great ones. The truth is freedom, not showmanship.
Actions speak louder than words that chatter without benefit or without any viewers
for the entire episode. The truth of freedom lies in what impresses with sincerity ,not with falsehood.
To be free means to think. Whenever you have an idea spinning in your mind, every
day, every hour, and every moment, then you are free. Freedom, my dear, is not in
your loud voice or your colorful attire, not in the speed of your car, not in the
restrictions imposed on those around you in your actions; it is in ideas that build a
nation and raise generations. Be free in yourself, not free in those around you. Build
the cage of your freedom with your own hands, not with the hands of those around
you. It is your life, not the life of those around you. Paint it with love, effort, work,
diligence, belief, skill, and creativity, not with deterioration, destruction, and
thoughtlessness, so that it becomes a prison for your wrong freedom that has
humiliated you with a real prison of your dreams and goals, not a prison for your
freedom and your thoughts. Choose your prison with your ideas, so it becomes a
prison for your freedom or a prison that restricts your freedom.
